3D Printing Bootcamp

In October 2021 Espacio Open hosted a bootcamp where we shared all the necessary steps to build your own large scale low-cost delta 3d printer for less than 3.000 euros, thanks to the support of the Creative Europe Programme of the European Commission.

During the first week we fabricated a delta machine with a printing volume of 1meter high x 70cm wide. The printer is specifically designed for ceramic paste extrusion with LDM (Liquid Deposit Modelling).

During the second week we helped the participants to develope their individual projects and to 3D print them in clay.

A total of nine selected participants attended the bootcamp:

3D Printing in Clay applied to arts:
Vibro derritiendo – Sara Stenlund
Incense holder – Xavier Butcher

3D printing in clay done by the 21st century pot makers:
Portolpots - Joan Amengual
Jarrilla Distributed – Iñaki Albistur (Arquimaña)
